Welcome to Amazonia Club and Art Gallery on Moove

Some 600 years ago, in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest , lived a tribe of remarcable and powerfull warrior women, known as the Icamiabas (meaning "those with no husband"). They managed to build an empire in which surrounding tribes were subjected to the ruling of Conhori, their mighty leader.

The accounts of the encounter and battle between those warrior women and the expedition commanded by spanish conqueror Francisco de Orellana, writen by Friar Carvajal, swept across XVI century Europe and soon historians began to see similarities between the Icamiabas and theancient legend of the Amazons, who are said to have lived in Asia before Christ.

Thus, the river who crosses the region where the Icamiabas used to live, then know as Mar Dulce (Sweet Sea) became the River of the Amazons, today Amazon River.

The Amazonia Club and Art Gallery, celebrates everything the Icamiabas represent.
The resilience, strenght, mistery, creative power and natural wisdom known to be atributes of the female soul. But we do not preach or condone sexism... instead we celebrate a world in wich people of all genders are respected. admired and honored for what they are, their own persona merits, not for what they have or what they look.

Our art gallery specializes in showcasing not the famous artists, but rather, some ordinary everyday people, who happens to do extraordinary things.
